Employers of Pacific workers

We want to hear from employers of Pacific workers in the construction, health and manufacturing sectors.

In Aotearoa New Zealand, there is a Pacific Pay Gap, where Pacific workers are getting paid less than other ethnic groups. We know that Pacific workers contribute significantly to the economy, both through their paid employment and through voluntary work and community service.  We also know that many Pacific peoples are struggling to secure enough work to make ends meet. Pacific workers are often in jobs with low pay, and/or finding it difficult to progress in their roles. 


We want to talk to you about the  monitoring of ethnic pay gaps, good workplace diversity and inclusion practices and any ideas you may have about how to close the Pacific Pay Gap.  Please complete the survey form below to share your views and register your interest in speaking further with our team about these issues.  


This survey is collected by the Human Rights Commission. The Commission recognises the value of the information you share with us and we are committed to keeping it secure and confidential. The data we collect will be used to inform the Pacific Pay Gap Inquiry. Inquiry findings will be kept confidential, so that individuals or businesses cannot be identified.
